In the state of Washington, under Senate Bill 5686, there is an $80 Foreclosure Prevention Fee. This is effective July 27th, 2025. LodeStar is quoting this fee on all residential mortgage loans which include Conventional, Construction, FHA, VA, USDA, Home Equity, Adjustable Rate and more. We are not quoting this fee on Cash Purchases or Reverse Mortgages.
Per the Washington State Department of Commerce, LodeStar will be quoting the Foreclosure Prevention Fee within Section E because it is considered an "other government fee".
When this fee is exported into your LOS, LodeStar will be bundling it within the Mortgage Recording Fee. Based on your LodeStar tier, we can itemize this fee out within your LOS. Also, at this time, we are not able to move this fee to any other section.
