LodeStar opens and you navigate to the Service Title Agent dropdown and you don't see the title agent that you are wanting to us... Why isn't it there?? What does this mean?! What do you do?!
Don't worry! We can get them added for you. Though, it is helpful to know why they aren't showing in the first place. Below are the reasons why you don't see your title agent available within LodeStar:
- There hasn't been a request to add the title company to your calculator. Here is how to request adding a new title agent!

The title company is only set up for a specific state, county and/or transaction type. When we reach out to your title agents, we ask them to confirm the states and counties that they are licensed in. We also confirm the transaction types that they can do (Purchase, Refinance, Reissue, Veteran Home Loans, Construction, Construction to Permanent, HELOCs, Seconds).
- For example, you may see them available for refinances, but not for purchases.
- Or the title company is only available for specific counties and not statewide. We always confirm with your title agents if they are licensed through out the entire state and if not, we will only set up the counties that they are licensed in.
- **If you need additional states and transaction types set up, we can reach back out to the title agent to set up the correct fees for you.
- I have requested the title company, but why I am still not seeing them in our dropdown? We reach out to your title agents via email. It may take time for the agent to send us their fees. Once we receive their fees, it takes 2 to 4 days to get them set up and enabled in your calculator. If they don't get back to us, we will continue to reach out 3 times over a span on 3 weeks. If we don't hear from them at all, we will ask for a new contact at the title company.
If for some reason you don't see the title company you'd like to use, please submit your title agent request and we will get them set up for you!
