Quoting closing costs through our in-house managed database is all we do. If our quotes weren't accurate, we'd be out of a job. We're immensely proud that only 1 out of every 22,000 quotes (based on 2022 data) results in a cure. Not only do we want to save everyone as much money as possible, we take our promises seriously.
This article explains the steps of LodeStar's cure reimbursement process and the documents that are needed. See here for specific sections/ fees and their tolerance. Please note: We only reimburse cures for files that have closed. Cures to tolerance are paid in the form of a bill credit on your next invoice. This service is only available on our Enterprise level solution.
All cure reimbursement requests must be submitted through this request form. See below important details of form before submitting.
- You must attach the full versions of the final Closing Disclosure and the LodeStar quote to the request form. If LodeStar does not have these then we are unable to start our cure investigation process. See below where this can be done on the form:
- Once LodeStar has received your cure reimbursement request, we will evaluate and research the cure. This process can take up to 30 days. If the cure is caused by LodeStar, we will reimburse you in the form of an invoice credit. That credit will be reflected on your next invoice. If an underlying issue related to this cure affects more files, we will let you know as soon as possible.
