LodeStar's Fee Export Selector Feature

What is the fee export selector and it's benefits? 

The Fee Export Selector is a feature designed to give you precise control over which fees are exported to your LOS. Instead of a full-scale update and export, this feature allows you to select only the specific fees you need to update, ensuring no other information or sections in your LOS are affected.

Based on your pricing tier and what fees you currently have set up, below are the fee categories that will display within the fee export selector. Only the fees that you currently have set up, will show within the feature:

  • Recording Fees
  • Transfer Taxes
  • Title Agent Fees
  • Appraisal Fees
  • Lender Fees
  • Inspection Fees

How do you access and use the fee export selector? 

  1. After accessing LodeStar within your LOS and clicking the "calculate" button, the all fees will appear. You will then click the "Export to Encompass (or your LOS)" button.
  2. The fee export select will pop up and you will see all of the fees that are available to select/ deselect. *You can NOT select specific fees within a fee categories (I.e. you aren't able to only select the closing fees within the title agent fees).
  3. You will then uncheck the fee types that you DON'T want exported to your LOS. *By default all fees categories that you have set up will be checked. If they are checked, that means they will export to your LOS.
  4. Once you have selected which fees you'd like to export to your LOS, you will click "Export".
  5. From there, only the fees you've identified will be exported and updated. No other fees or sections will be updated or touched.

Common questions about the Fee Export Selector:

  1. Am I able to select specific fees within the fee categories to update?
    • No, you are not able to only update specific fees within each of the categories. For example, you can't only update the title agent's closing fee. If "title agent fees" is checked within the fee export selector, all title agent fees will be updated.
  2. Can we pick when the fee export selector will show up for specific loans?
    • No, you can't use this feature on a per loan basis. It is available for all loans or no loans.
  3. Can I select multiple fee types at once?
    • Yes! The Fee Export Selector is designed to let you select any combination of the available fee categories to include in a single export.
  4. What LOSs is this feature available in?
    • The fee export selector is available in Encompass, MeridianLink Mortgage and Byte.
